The Strangers (2008) a fost unul dintre cele mai tulburatoare filme horror pe care le-am vazut si asta spune multe! 16 ani mai tarziu, vom avea parte de prima parte a unei noi trilogii horror, sequel al filmului care i-a avut in rolurile principale pe Liv Tyler si Scott Speedman.
The Strangers: Chapter 1 este scris de Alan R. Cohen & Alan Freedland, fiind regizat de Renny Harlin (Die Hard 2). Maya (Madelaine Petsch) si Ryan (Froy Guitierrez) sunt un cuplu care aleg sa isi aniverseze 5 ani de relatie printr-un road trip american. Prima oprire este intr-o cabana rustica dintr-o padure. Acolo, ei sunt atacati pe neasteptate de trei straini mascati a caror singura explicatie pentru atacurile violente si absolut terifiante asupra celor doi este ca “Pentru ca erati acasa“.
“On a Monday morning, I could be shooting the second chapter, and Monday afternoon I could be shooting the first chapter, and Tuesday morning I could be shooting the third chapter. It was incredibly demanding for the actors, for the continuity in terms of the makeup and wardrobe, and for my director of photography, because we wanted to create a visual language that develops so that the movies get bigger, more epic as we go [on].
