Dan Levy, co-creatorul minunatului serial Schitt’s Creek, isi va face debutul regizoral cu Good Grief, o noua dramedie Netflix pe care o va scrie si in care va juca rolul principal.
Noul film reprezinta primul proiect creativ dintre compania sa de productie, Not A Real Production Company si giganta platforma de streaming. Levy va fi Marc Dreyfus, un barbat care incearca sa treaca peste moartea mamei lui, in timp ce se chinuie cu o casnicie care ii aduce foarte putin comfort. Dar numai moartea timpurie si neasteptata a sotului sau il va forta pe Marc sa se confrunte cu propria durere si sa faca o calatorie de auto-descoperire, alaturi de cei mai apropiati prieteni, la Paris.
“Good Grief is a cautionary tale about friendship and loss and all the mess that comes with it when the truth is something you’ve evaded for most of your life. It’s funny, it’s bittersweet, it’s a project that has helped me work through my own grief. And I hope it does the same for other people as well,” a declarat Dan.
Luke Evans (Beauty and The Beast), Celia Imrie (Better Things), Ruth Negga (Passing), Himesh Patel (Station Eleven), Arnaud Valois (Spring Blossom), David Bradley (Game of Thrones) si Jamael Westman (Hamilton) s-au alaturat distributiei.
Stacey Snider si Kate Fenske vor produce filmul, alaturi de Debra Hayward si Meghan Zehmer.
