Cea de-a 65-a editie a Festivalului de Film de la Berlin incepe azi, 5 februarie 2015 si dureaza pana sambata, 14 februarie, in capitala Germaniei.
Din Juriul Festivalului din acest an fac parte actorul german Daniel Bruhl (Rush), starul francez Audrey Tautou (Amelie) si creatorul serialului Mad Men, Matthew Weiner, alaturi de regizorul sud-coreean Bong Joon-Ho (Snowpiercer), castigatoarea Ursului de Aur Claudia Llosa (The Milk of Sorrow), din Peru si producatorul italian Martha De Laurentiis (Hannibal). Presedintele Juriului este celebrul regizor Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan).
Competitia din acest an reprezinta un mix eclectic – Terrence Malick, inapoi la Berlin cu filmul Knight of Cups, protagonistii acestuia fiind Christian Bale si Natalie Portman, Werner Herzog, care va prezenta Queen of the Desert, cu Nicole Kidman, Damian Lewis si Robert Pattinson in distributie.
Favoritii filmelor de arta, Pablo Larrain (No), Peter Greenaway (The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover) si Isabel Coixet (My Life Without Me) revin la Berlin cu ultimele lor pelicule, Nobody Wants the Night al lui Coixet va deschide Festivalul din acest an. Alte filme nominalizate la Ursul de Aur sunt 45 Years, filmul lui Andrew Haigh, Diary of a Chambermaid al francezului Benoit Jacquot si Taxi, noul film al iranianului Jafar Panahi.
In afara Competitiei se afla drama 3D Every Thing Will Be Fine, regizata de Wim Wenders si premiera internationala a filmului lui Sam Taylor-Johnson, Fifty Shades of Grey.
