Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber) si Chloe Grace Moretz (Mother/Android) vor fi protagonistii din White Night, un nou thriller psihologic despre infamul cult condus de Jim Jones, People’s Temple.
De la baza sa din San Francisco, carismaticul predicator, interpretat de Joseph Gordon-Levitt, a adunat langa el o multime de oameni devotati. In 1974, el a creat “Jonestown”, in Guyana. Acolo, pe 18 noiembrie 1978, Jones le-a comandat supusilor sai sa bea otrava. Peste 900 de oameni au murit atunci, tragedia ramanand pana in ziua de azi una dintre cele mai numeroase crime in serie/ sinucideri din istorie.
Chloe Grace Moretz o va interpreta pe Debbie Layton, o tanara atrasa in cercul interior al lui Jones, devenind una dintre leaderii din People’s Temple, pana cand a aflat adevarul despre acesta si a incercat sa il demaste in fata intregii lumi.
Anne Sewitsky (A Very British Scandal) va regiza adaptarea memoriilor lui Layton, Seductive Poison, dupa un scenariu scris de William Wheeler (The Ghost in the Shell). FilmNation Entertainment va finanta filmul si il va produce, alaturi de Archer Gray. Filmarile vor incepe in aceasta primavara.
