Laureatele Premiului Oscar, Renée Zellweger si Sissy Spacek, vor juca alaturi de Mia Threapleton in A Woman in the Sun, debutul regizoral al scenaristei Julia Cox (Nyad).

Noua drama surprinde o luna intensa din viata lui Claire Keating, o barmanita din Nantucket, prinsa intre farmecul insulei si nesiguranta unei clase de mijloc pe cale de disparitie. Cand mama ei se imbolnaveste si fiica ei se muta inapoi acasa, lumea lui Claire incepe sa se destrame. Intre trecutul care o bantuie si viitorul pe care incearca sa-l recladeasca, Claire descopera cat de dureros, complicat si uneori absurd de frumos este sa iubesti oamenii cu toata inima.

A Woman in the Sun este produs de Black Bear, Artist Equity si Big Picture Co. a lui Renée Zellweger, primele doua co-finandand proiectul; Black Bear va distribui filmul in America de Nord si Mara Britanie. Filmarile vor incepe in septembrie 2026.
