Animals este o noua dramedie spumoasa scrisa de autoarea Emma Jane Unsworth si bazata pe romanul ei cu acelasi nume din 2014, care celebreaza extraordinara prietenie dintre femei. Este o cercetare intima, amuzanta si dulce-amaruie a provocarilor pe care le are femeia moderna – cu defectele, nazuintele si spiritul ei competitiv.
Filmul le are in centru pe Laura (Holliday Grainger) si Tyler (Alia Shawkat), a caror prietenie veche de peste 10 ani este pusa la incercare. Dupa ce afla ca sora ei mai mare este insarcinata, Laura incepe sa se gandeasca serios la viitor si la visele sale literare, in timp ce Tyler nici nu se gandeste sa isi schimbe stilul de viata, pe care il avea si la 20 de ani, si sa se maturizeze.
