“Cinema is not dead,” a declarat Directorul artistic al Festivalului de Film de la Cannes, Thierry Fremaux, la inceputul conferintei de presa de azi dimineata, in care a prezentat cele 63 de filme care vor avea premiera in cadrul festivalului din iulie 2021.

“Vaccination is not mandatory, but testing is. Spectators can choose to present either a vaccination certificate or a negative test. Basically, to access the Palais, people will have to present a valid health pass to enter the screenings. The validity of the pass is acquired via either a complete vaccination course, or immunity acquired more than 15 days and less than 6 months ago, or a negative PCR or antibodies test within a 48-hour window“, a adaugat Frémaux.

La inceputul acestei saptamani, Cannes a anuntat ca Jodie Foster va primi Palme d’Or-ul Onorific si va fi oaspetele de onoare al ceremoniei de deschidere. Geniala actrita/regizor a fost prezenta la festival pentru prima oara cand avea doar 13 ani, cu filmul Taxi Driver al lui Martin Scorsese, care a castigat Premiul Palme d’Or in 1976. Money Monster, film regizat de aceasta, a avut premiera in 2016, in afara competitiei din cadrul festivalului. “Jodie Foster has provided us with an amazing gift by coming to celebrate the return of the festival on the Croisette. Her aura is unparalleled: she embodies modernity, the radiant intelligence of independence and the need for freedom,” a declarat Pierre Lescure, Presedintele Festivalului.
